PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OFFERED TO MEMBERS
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION- LSIA promotes continuing professional education by offering quality and timely CPE courses. Dynamic and informative- you get the lastest information.
SEMINAR DISCOUNTS- LSIA members receive a discount on all LSIA sponsored seminars. Staff of LSIA members also receive a special discount.
GOVERNMENTAL REPRESENTATION- LSIA maintains a lobbyist to keep us abreast of legislation which will affect accountants and our clients. The Legal and Legislative Committee, along with our legal counsel, keeps an eye on the state accountancy board to help protect your right to practice.
LIAISON WITH THE IRS AND LA DEPT. OF REVENUE- Each year we meet with the Directors of these agencies to discuss problems and new developments.
NETWORKING WITH OTHER ACCOUNTANTS- LSIA links professional independent accountants to achieve goals, exchange ideas, share study and research, and improve professional ability and expertise.
BI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTER- The Independent Accountant is our official newsletter featuring current articles relevant to accounting, taxation, practice management, and member activities.
